Procedure

      This morning, I learnt A Discourse Approach in Reading about Procedure with Dr.Usa Noytim. Fist, she ordered us to described about favorite food and wrote it on own paper. Procedure tell us how to something is accomplished through a sequence of actions or steps. The teacher had the examples about procedure how to cook food or drinks such as banana shake, banana cake, omelette and chicken soup. It's fun and interesting. Then teacher had some video in a lesson from internet. It's look delicious. Today I can answer the questions almost items. I felt happy and fun because the procedure is not difficult and easy to understand.

Descriptive


         This morning, I learnt A Discourse Approach in Reading about descriptive with Dr.Usa Noytim. Teacher explained the descriptive to us. Descriptive text is a text which says what a person, a thing or place is like. I studied on the  description of anything such as Komodo Dragon, Budapest and Prague. It's difficult because I knew little vocabularies  and I tried to find the meaning of them. I feel good and happy in class with teacher because she taught students fun and understand in the lesson. She gave warm up activity by giving us answer the question about my favorite pet. Today I felt very fun with reading the text because the detail not different and I found the answer quickly. I will try to practice myself to be better.

Narrative 2


Today, I had a discourse approach in reading class. I learnt about narrative again, the title is "Secret" by Tim Winton. I learnt part two of this story. I am confused this story because some words in this story it difficult for me. I follow situation in the story with great interest. This story is exciting and impressive. I felt impressed by the end of the story. Because the twist ending of the story. Teaching about the actions of the characters. When the time is up, the teacher gave homework for us. Today I am impressed with her teaching. And I'm happy with what I am studying.



The story "Secrets" is about a young girl trying to come to terms with the changes in her family as a new step father takes over the power in her home.
In the story '' Secrets'' Tim Winton explores the life of a young girl and how her Family effects her identity. Due to her Loneliness and consent rejection from her family, she develops a low self – esteem and a feeling of sadness and depression. It has a Negative impact on her family and the way she views her family. ''She held the picture close to her face. It made her confident. It made her think Philip and her mother were stupid. It stopped her from being lonely” This give us a example of how kylie feels about her mother and the type of connection she as with her.

Kylie as always been isolated from her family and leaves her depressed, This show how family can have a bad influences on a children's identity.
Her mother and Philip were inside. She heard them arguing and wished she still lived with her father. This show how lonely she is. It also show how loneliness and low self-esteem can shape a persons identity.


In my opinion...

I dislike Kylie because she's stubbornness and bad habit.

I dislike Kylie's mother because she doesn't take care Kylie

I dislike Philip because he hit kylie

Discussing the story's symbols.

- The egg : they help her feel less lonely because they are her secret and new things in her life.

- The well : It is the problem of Kyllie.

- The photo :It is remember of Kylie when she was young and missed her father.

- Kylie's cutting of the photo : she won’t to saw the photo because It made think of  her father.

I think this story to show how family can shape our personality and identity.

Narrative


This morning I learnt about the narrative in A discourse Approach in reading class. The teacher taught us about the purpose and types of narrative, text organization and language features. She described and read the Secrets title and gave us practice to complete summary of the story. Next the teacher ordered us to read the simple narratives and asked the question. This story was interesting and exciting. But I don't understand some words in this story. I opened the dictionary to found the meaning of difficult words. Today the weather was good for me. I felt relaxed and enjoyed to learn English.
